Robert Covington.

Need a great defender that can also score with confidence for a reasonable price? Robert Covington is your guy.

Although he’s not the greatest shooter or scorer, he’s pretty decent in that  side. And what he doesn’t convert in the offensive end, he makes up defensively.

His numbers did not change that much from the 2015-16 season to this 2016-17 season. Which means that his consistency has been there. He’s still 26 years old, and has a lot to offer to a young Nuggets team as he did in Philadelphia. And yes, he’s definitely not that guy that can turn into a star from one day to another, but he’s a start. And I like to call Denver, the land of opportunity (props to Smack Down Live!)

Covington will bring that defensive presence the Nuggets need and he can still grow. He’s an interesting player to watch and there is no doubt in my mind that he will keep growing to a better player as time goes on.
