Wilson Chandler had possibly his best season yet in a Nuggets uniform.

There is no doubt that this season was full of a lot of twists and turns for Wilson Chandler. However, one cannot deny the impact he brought to the team.

There was even one point in the season where he looked like he was going to be a legitimate Sixth Man of the Year candidate.

More from Nugg Love

After missing the previous season, he bounced back in tremendous fashion. Say what you will about the speculation about him being potentially discontent in his role, he was one of Denver’s more reliable players this year.

This shows in his defensive rebounding percentage on the year. Defensive rebounding percentage is an estimate of the percentage of available rebounds on the defensive side of the floor while the player was on the court. Chandler’s percentage from this season was at 17.7%. This is only a little bit less than Mason Plumlee’s percentage from this season of 21.3% This total shows just how versatile of a weapon Chandler is for the Denver Nuggets.

While Danilo Gallinari is a more polished scorer, Wilson is able to do more of the dirty work that tends to go unnoticed. His future in the Mile High may be cloudy, but he is still an efficient player coming off the bench. Not to mention, he seems to thrive in a small ball lineup which makes this percentage even more surprising when one thinks about the bigs at the four spot he sometimes goes against.

Next: Why Denver should trade Will Barton

The man is someone who can still get it done as a veteran and he showcased his talents very well this season. (All stats were verified via basketball-reference.com.)
