With Connelly now the president of basketball operations, he is likely to have a few new responsibilities.
The recent big news is that the Denver Nuggets have promoted Tim Connelly to president of basketball operations. I, for one, believe he deserved this promotion due to his great work over the past few seasons as GM of the Nuggets.
However, there is one thing he should do in his new position. Tim should reach out to the Broncos very own John Elway and get advice from him (within the confines of the rules of course.) Any true Broncos fan knows about Elway’s lucrative resume not just as a player, but as a president of operations for the Broncos.

He came in and turned a 4-12 franchise around almost instantly. He took that forgettable season and netted Von Miller in the draft, who eventually became a Super Bowl MVP, made the playoffs with Tim Tebow and John Fox and eventually brought in stars like Peyton Manning, Demarcus Ware, T.J. Ward, Emmanuel Sanders and Aqib Talib to help Denver become a contender.
It resulted in a Super Bowl 50 victory. In short, Elway knows what he is doing when it comes to running a team and Tim Connelly would be smart to pick the brain of the genius behind this effort. Elway could possibly give him some insight in luring stars to the Mile High and some pointers on developing key young talent in order to help the Nuggets build for the future.
Connelly has done a great job so far, but just imagine the dominant Nuggets team he could build with advice from the great John Elway.
