The draft is here and already, there are rumors popping up all over the place and some of them deal with Kristaps Porzingis.

Kristaps Porzingis is a 7’3 big man who has a ton of upside. In just the two years he has played, he has already left his mark in New York. Sadly, for the Knicks, the organization is run by an incompetent Phil Jackson.

Well, for Denver fans, this sad fact could actually be beneficial for them. Phil has made it clear he may trade Kristaps for the right offer. While guys like Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris are untouchable, the Nuggets could still get the young sensation.

Think about it, if the Nuggets offer the 13th pick, Wilson Chandler, Will Barton, Kenneth Faried and Emmanuel Mudiay, that offer could possibly be the correct lure for Phil Jackson. Could you imagine a front court of Kristaps Porzingis and Nikola Jokic? I cannot be the only one who thinks that would make Denver an intimidating team in the West.

Not to mention, Kristaps would be able to somewhat make up for Jokic’s defensive inefficiencies with his size and length down low protecting the rim. I know this is just an exhibition game, but remember how well the two meshed in the Rising Stars Game at All-Star Break? That could have been just a glimpse of what they are capable of if they are on the same team.

Today will be an exciting day full of headlines and Kristaps Porzingis could be the most popular one depending on what transpires.
