I pull up Twitter to see how the Nugget writer-verse is responding to this scene of events. I see talks of a Mudiay for Bledsoe trade. YES. Yes, Nuggets. This is what I am talking about. I immediately start to do my own mental ESPN Trade Machine in my head. Man, remember how much hope we had for Mudiay? His Mile High Sports in the blue retro jersey in still up on the fridge. He does wear a tee shirt under his jersey, which is a minus BUT can we really walk away from a former prize just because he had one bad season? And I recall Bledsoe having that one high score game last year but wasn’t he a pain in the side of management? Or was that his brother that forced a trade? I think, never mind, you are a Nuggets blogger, not a Suns blogger. Out of your wheelhouse.
As we moved up the draft board to slot 9, the trade talk between those two seemed to stutter. We approached the Nuggets 14th pick…and Malik Monk is still on the board. Sure we were all rooting for OG, but, Monk is one of the few names from the regular college season last year that stuck out in my mind. What if….
