Juancho Hernangomez has a slim chance at starting at small forward next season.

Juancho Hernangomez really turned heads this past season. With Danilo Gallinari most likely moving on from the Mile High and the way things are going for Denver this off season, he may have a chance to showcase his skills as a starter next year.

With the way he has developed so far, he has the potential to be a reliable stretch three. Do not forget when he started in a game against the Golden State Warriors where he lit them up from beyond the arc.

This performance helped propel the Nuggets to a 132-110 upset over the NBA champions. He had other great games this past season as well. That is why if the Nuggets part ways with Gallo and do not sign a quality wing in free agency, you should expect to see the Spaniard gracing Denver’s starting rotation come next season.

He was a major steal in his draft class that many people, including me, questioned at first. We were soon proven wrong and I am happy to admit I was wrong after seeing the kid play last season.

Juancho still has a lot of potential to unlock and if he is the new starter next year, we may see him unlock it sooner rather than later. Granted, a lot of things have to happen for him to secure a starting spot, but it is very possible.
