The Denver Nuggets may have to land a new star the hard way… By conducting a trade.

The Denver Nuggets will always have a hard time attracting star free agents. With this in mind, they may have no choice but to conduct a monster trade in order to bring in a sidekick for Nikola Jokic. While this seems unrealistic, which it is, it is not impossible.

The Minnesota Timberwolves proved that in the draft and most recently, the Houston Rockets. The good thing for the Nuggets is that they have the assets to pull it off. Granted, it is easier said than done, but Denver can still find a way.

I personally would not mind this team re visiting an Eric Bledsoe trade that was cut off during the draft. Yes, it will be harder now that Phoenix has a chance at Blake Griffin and drafted Josh Jackson, but it would not hurt to give it another shot.

Even doing a sign and trade for a free agent like Paul Millsap could benefit this young team greatly, plus he would provide some rim protection. Other potential target for the Nuggets include players of the likes of Otto Porter Jr., Zach Randolph, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kristaps Porzingis.

Tim Connelly needs to think about conducting a trade and it may require the Denver Nuggets parting ways with some of their valuable assets.
