After a strong NBA free agency with the addition of Paul Millsap alone so far, Denver Nuggets fans should feel optimistic about the future.
Even with Danilo Gallinari set to depart to the LA Clippers in a three-team sign-and-trade, Denver Nuggets fans should be hopeful for the future. They are still getting an All-Star in power forward Paul Millsap and it sounds like the team is working on shedding some contracts to go after one more big-name free agent (hopefully, George Hill, if he doesn’t agree to a big one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers).
Even with the Western Conference becoming abundantly competitive after the arrival of All-Stars such as Jimmy Butler, Paul George and, of course, Denver’s own Millsap, many are saying the Nuggets can easily be a playoff team now.

Whether they get the five, six, seven or eight seed is another debate for another day. There’s a ton of competition and seeing all these transformed teams develop together will take time. However, if Denver are able to land another solid free agent to improve their talent level and defense even more, they will become a team even the championship contenders have to take seriously on any given night.
With that will come an even greater amount of respect from NBA peers. There is no telling how far this team will go come next season, but Nuggets fans should be extremely excited for what is in store now that they have a dynamic duo in Nikola Jokic and Millsap.
And when remembering that young talent such as Gary Harris and Jamal Murray are in the mix and on the rise, the future is bright to say the least.
