The Denver Nuggets will have their hands full, but they will be improved and the Minnesota Timberwolves bringing in Jamal Crawford will make the rivalry very entertaining.

The Timberwolves possess a trio of stars in Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler and Jamal Crawford will be a great supporting piece for their team. Crawford is a veteran who will provide great offensive firepower coming off the bench.

Meanwhile, Denver now has their duo of stars in Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap and will be a force to be reckoned with next season considering they still have the likes of Gary Harris and Jamal Murray. As if the Northwest division was not competitive enough already.

The biggest free agent bomb for the division has been Paul George being traded to the Thunder, but the Nuggets and Timberwolves have done a great job in adding star talent to their rosters this off season. This was already shaping up to be an intriguing rivalry making a comeback, but now, this will be a key match up many fans have their eyes on next season.

It is safe to say that this rivalry was overshadowed by the renewed rivalry between Portland and Denver as the two teams were in an arms race for the eighth seed last year. This coming year though, do not be shocked to see a few heated games between the Nuggets and Timberwolves as both of them rising teams brimming with talent.

Not to mention, they both have star power now, something a team needs in order to be successful in today’s modern NBA.
