Nuggets: Kenneth Faried for Jae Crowder?
By Mathew Huff
The Denver Nuggets could benefit greatly from adding Jae Crowder to their team and they may be able to trade for him by shipping Kenneth Faried.
As much as I have idolized Kenneth Faried’s game over the years, it is looking like it is time for he and the Denver Nuggets to part ways. He has hit his ceiling and Denver simply has too many players on the roster as of right now.
Jae Crowder would be the ideal replacement for Danilo Gallinari, especially since Boston now has Gordon Hayward and will be looking to clear up cap space so they can re sign Isiah Thomas next year. Thomas has made it clear he is looking for a max deal. With all of this in mind, one trade Denver could propose is Kenneth Faried for Jae Crowder.

Obviously there would be more details involved since the Celtics would be wary of taking on Faried’s contract. However, if Denver granted them cash exceptions in the trade, things could get very interesting. Denver could also possibly ship off Jameer Nelson freeing up roster space while Nelson would have an impactful back up role with the Celtics. Boston needs a back up for Thomas, so this actually makes sense. Faried would bring a type of energy the Celtics need and be able to carve out more valuable minutes in Boston considering Denver added to their front court with the likes of Paul Millsap, Trey Lyles and Tyler Lydon. Plus, Denver could always add in a draft pick to sweeten the deal, we all know how much Danny Ainge likes his draft picks for the future.
Crowder would be able to provide the Nuggets with grit and an upgrade in defense at the wing position. Not to mention, he would fit well with the team with the nice mix of young talent and veterans Denver possesses.
Next: Mason Plumlee shouldn't cost much
This would be a trade that would take time to work out, but it may be something the Nuggets should consider trying.
