After verbally agreeing to a three-year, $90 million contract with the Denver Nuggets, Paul Millsap has officially signed the dotted line.
It is official, Paul Millsap will absolutely 100% be in a Nuggets jersey come next season. Millsap officially signed the contract after verbally agreeing to the deal around the beginning of free agency.
This is great, since there is always an off chance free agents can back out of a verbal agreement, like you know, Deandre Jordan, but let’s not bring up past wounds for Dallas owner, Mark Cuban. Millsap will be the anchor for a dynamic front court he will form with the up and coming star, Nikola Jokic.
Despite a competitive Northwest division, the Nuggets will be one of the young up and coming teams to watch next season. Thanks to addition of Paul Millsap, they now possess a duo of stars who can help catapult them to at least the 7 or 6 seed in the Western Conference. Granted, this all depends if the current NBA landscape stays the same, but as of right now, Denver looks as if they are in good shape.

The Nuggets will still have plenty of competition for the last few playoff spots as New Orleans, Minnesota and yes even Utah despite losing Hayward will be targeting the same positions. However, Denver showcased great growth last year and it would not be surprising if they surpassed expectations again.
The player who would have a lot to do with this would be Paul Millsap. He is an experienced veteran with post season experience and will be a great mentor for the young guys on the team. He is not a LeBron James, but he is a significant upgrade for Denver and quite possibly might be the biggest star to come to Denver since the Allen Iverson trade.

It is great to know that Millsap has fully committed to the Mile High.
