The Denver Nuggets have reportedly signed Torrey Craig according to Sportando.
Sportando is a good source for international signings and reporting all things European basketball. It’s not yet known whether or not the Denver Nuggets’ deal with Torrey Craig deal will be a two-way contract, according to Sportando:
"Forward Torrey Craig has agreed to a deal with the Denver Nuggets, a source told Sportando. The deal could be a two-way contract. Craig had a strong Summer League with Denver and now he’s getting his reward. Last season Craig played in Australia, where he averaged 15.2 points and 8 rebounds per game. He was also nominated as Best Defensive Player of NBL. -O. Cauchi"

It comes as no surprise that the Nuggets would indeed sign Craig after the strong summer league display he put on this past week. It could be argued that Craig was the team’s most consistent player at summer league on both ends of the court. Denver has three more roster spots available on the team with two of those spots coming via the two-way contract. If Craig was to sign the two-way contract, he would only be able to spend a max of 45 days on the roster.
No matter what contract Craig gets he should have the ability to earn a spot in Denver’s rotation this coming season. With the team’s depth being so thin at small forward he could easily become the backup to Wilson Chandler. Craig would also arguably become the Nuggets best defensive player on the roster.
We most recently highlighted all the skills of Torrey Craig’s game in our last article where we suggested Denver should sign him. Though it seems like a done deal keep looking for an official announcement from the organization to confirm the signing.
