Malik Beasley did not get much playing time last season, but he was remarkably efficient when he did get in particularly with his shot and his true shooting percentage shows it.

Malik Beasley is a young prospect for the Denver Nuggets who has a ton of raw potential. He did not get much playing time last year and even had a couple of stints in what was then known as the D League where he shined.

When he did get playing time at the pro level, he made good use of his time despite the little amount of time he did receive. This is reflected in his true shooting percentage. For those who are wondering, true shooting percentage is a measure of shooting efficiency which takes into account two point field goals, three point field goals and free throws.

Malik possessed a true shooting percentage of 53.6% last season. This is great considering he only received a total of 7.5 minutes per game on average. However, he has made one thing clear in his young career so far. That is he can score the ball in a multitude of ways and do it effectively and efficiently. He had a field goal percentage of 45.2% and a three point field goal percentage of 32.1%.

What was most impressive though was his free throw percentage. He shot 80% from the charity stripe. When one takes into account all three of these percentages, it is easy to see why he developed a great true shooting percentage of 53.6%. With this in mind, it is a wonder how much higher Beasley can get this certain percentage.

The sky is the limit for Malik and with a little more playing time, he could increase this statistic to even better heights. He has proven to be a great scorer and could develop into an even better scorer. This fact alone should scare the opposition.
