The Denver Nuggets officially announced one of their four new jersey’s today when they debuted the “association” jersey.

The jersey is part one of a four part set that the NBA’s new jersey sponsor Nike is putting together for each NBA club, including the Denver Nuggets.

As you can see in the video of the photo shoot with Gary Harris the Nuggets also got a second jersey today. We’ll get to that one later though as this article is all about the “association” uniform.

The Nuggets had two players at the presser revealing the jerseys and that was Gary Harris and Darrell Arthur. Here’s DA sporting the jersey:

DA looks pretty happy in the Nuggets new threads, but when asked in the presser if he liked his jersey he said he preferred the one Gary Harris was wearing, but still loved the new white one too.

The jersey isn’t too different from the one they’ve been wearing as their home uniform the past couple of seasons. The big difference is that most of the baby blue on the white jersey has been replaced with the new navy blue. That’s on the collar of the jersey, side of the jersey, and continues all the way down to the shorts. The baby blue Nuggets logo is still the logo the team used on the shorts though.

The white shorts are also different as they have a pick-axe logo on the front of them, which is a new feature to the uniforms.

One of the awesome parts of these jerseys is all the great stuff Nike has done with them. There’s some incredible features with them that was described in Altitude reporter Chris Dempsey’s article on the new jersey designs,

"Technology, of course, is at the core of any Nike production. These uniforms are made of 100 percent recycled polyester. That is created by using recycled plastic bottles, which are melted down to produce fine yarn used to create the fabric. Each uniform is made from 18 bottles. On the back of the jersey there is a scapula-shaped shoulder seam, designed for increased mobility. Lightweight textured engineering features standoff mesh to prevent excessive moisture cling. That moisture repellent allows for increased airflow. These uniforms are constructed to perform as good as they look. -Chris Dempsey"

The recycled bottle’s and light weight technology is what really stood out to me about the jersey’s. It’s incredible how Nike can turn plastic bottles into uniforms and that the uniforms are 100% recycled polyester. The light weight technology the uniforms bring will be great for the players too because it’ll allow them to play quicker and faster when on the court.

Now this isn’t the new Nuggets home jersey as the team will be able to pick from any of their four new uniforms next season. This will be one of their two main jerseys to start the season though as the other two uniforms are set to be revealed during the season. It’ll certainly be a jersey we see a lot of and certainly has a different feel then their now “old” white uniforms.
