Jamal Murray had a solid rookie campaign and is only going to get better.
Jamal Murray is a gem the Denver Nuggets found in the draft. He was the seventh overall pick of his class and has quickly solidified a future with the organization.

Despite battling two sports hernias in his rookie year, Murray was the only player on the team to play in all regular season games and found a way to carve out solid minutes in the rotation.
He provided great productivity despite going scoreless in his first couple of NBA games and many feel, including myself, was robbed of All Rookie First Team honors. The kid has proven to have a great work ethic and it will only carry him further and further down the right path as a professional.
As a result, the kid will be able to avoid the sophomore slump next season and continue to develop at a great pace. Murray has been often called the Nuggets’ own Steph Curry in progress and it is easy to see why when you take a good and hard look at how fluid his jump shot is when he hoists it up. Denver is in a bit of a weird, but great situation as they have two shooting guards brimming with potential in Murray and Gary Harris.
However, the good thing is Murray has shown he can play effectively at the point guard as well. This means Denver can find a way to utilize both weapons at the same time and with Murray getting better, the Nuggets may see a break out season from him this season.

The sophomore slump is always a risk for any second year player, but I honestly have a difficult time seeing Jamal Murray being plagued by it this upcoming NBA season.
