Paul Millsap may be the Nuggets’ star acquisition, but Nikola Jokic is still the go to offensive option.
Paul Millsap is a veteran star who has a great attitude. One never hears of him getting into trouble off the court and is a solid anchor both offensively and defensively.

His personality will fit in the Mile High perfectly. Due to this, Millsap will have problem relinquishing control as the first option and will be more than willing to let Nikola Jokic be the offensive leader.
This is not to say Millsap will not be a leader on the Nuggets, he certainly will be, but Millsap is smart enough to know Jokic needs to continue to grow and progress as a player. If Millsap were to take control and be the go to option like he was with the Atlanta Hawks, it could hinder the development of Jokic.
However, Millsap will be a great tutor for the up and coming star center on both ends of the court. Not to mention, Millsap will still get his fair share of scoring opportunities.
With a guy like Jokic who can throw great passes, he will still be putting up star numbers for the Denver Nuggets. Paul is someone who has never been in the news for getting an attitude with coaches and teammates.
With him being back in the state where he spent much of his childhood, he will be reinvigorated and out to prove he can thrive in another system. Jokic is also a guy who has a great attitude and will fit perfectly down low with Millsap.
I am willing to bet money there will be no ego issues between these two great players.
For these reasons, Paul Millsap should have no problems at all being the second offensive option behind Nikola Jokic in the Denver Nuggets’ system.
