Many are anticipating the release of NBA 2K18, but Nuggets fans are interested in how highly rated Nikola Jokic will be.

Nikola Jokic was a revelation not just for the Nuggets, but the entire NBA last season. As a result, his 2K17 rating steadily increased throughout the year. Now, it will be interesting to see what rating NBA 2K18 will have him at.

Obviously he is not going to get an overall rating of 96 like Kevin Durant, but it would not be surprising to see him somewhere in the mid 80’s.

For me personally, I am going to predict Jokic will start out with a 2K rating of 86. This seems fair as he has untouchable passing instincts for a big man and is just so smooth on offense. However, what prevents him from getting a higher rating is his lack of athleticism and his struggles on the defensive end of the court.

Do not forget 2K ratings can increase throughout the season if the player clearly progresses and gets better which is very realistic with Nikola Jokic. Jokic has been working hard this summer to get into solid playing shape, so if he can utilize some new found athleticism, it will help his play on both ends of the court.

As a result of this possibility, his rating will skyrocket and this will be a very welcome sign for Denver Nuggets fans. Jokic is already a very fun player to utilize in 2K, so this new game which will be coming out will be very anticipated by the Nuggets’ fan base.

An ever improving Nikola Jokic is sure to stir up some friendly competition among casual friends who like to play 2K against each other and it will be this way for many more years to come.
