Both Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap will give opponents fits with their passing prowess.

Every Nuggets fan knows by now how great Nikola Jokic is at passing, but many overlook Paul Millsap and his ability to distribute the ball.

Now, they will be one of the league’s feature front courts this coming season and the rest of the NBA better watch out. Not just because of Millsap’s overall game, or Jokic’s smooth offensive craft, but because of both of their passing abilities.

As a matter of fact, we could possibly see a “lob city for a front court,” develop between these two fundamental stars. We all know of the flashy passing Jokic can display, but people tend to forget Millsap can pass well even though he is more known for his work on defense and efficient scoring.

Per basketball-reference.com, Paul averaged a career high in assists last season for the Atlanta Hawks with 3.7 assists per game. He was doing this while having to share the paint with Dwight Howard who just seemingly did not quite fit alongside him for whatever reason.

Jokic on the other hand averaged an outstanding 4.9 assists per game for the Nuggets and even chalked up a number of triple doubles throughout the season. Now, imagine what happens you combine these star big man who can pass effectively.

Suddenly, Denver’s offense becomes even more of a threat. With pieces like Gary Harris and Jamal Murray for them to kick it out to or for a look close to the basket, their passing prowess will be on full display for Nuggets Nation this coming year.

Millsap should bring out the best in Jokic and vice versa. They are both extremely unselfish and will add another great dimension to the Nuggets’ passing and ball movement.

We know they will score, but don’t sleep on their passing instincts.
