HOUSTON, TX - MARCH 20: Jamal Murray

With the NFL season around the corner, many Denver fans like to compare the Nuggets’ players to the Broncos’ players. Today, we take a look at Jamal Murray’s Broncos equivalent.

With the NFL season starting soon, I thought it would be a good idea to do a series of articles comparing the Nuggets to the Broncos and today, we will analyze Jamal Murray. Now, Murray is a little tricky since he is still very young, so my comparison may come as a surprise.

In my honest opinion, Murray’s Broncos equivalent is none other than Emmanuel Sanders. Why you ask? Let me break it down for you. Both players are very electric with their style of play and are a couple of fan favorites within their respective fan bases.

They both have a ton of athleticism and while Sanders has pretty much lived up to his potential already, even earning a Super Bowl ring, they have a ton of talent. Not to mention, both would be welcomed on multiple teams. Many NFL teams would love to have a receive like Sanders whether it is to be the first option, or to utilize as a second option behind another dominant receiving threat, like Green Bay with Jordy Nelson.

Murray is still extremely young and raw, so his youth would be a welcome sight on many NBA teams, especially ones who are currently rebuilding. Plus, if you have watched both of their crafts, you will see a great amount of finesse in their games and in the good way. Their skill sets are effective for their teams and they actually somewhat mirror each other from an athletic standpoint.

Oh and Murray could potentially form a deadly one two punch in the back court this season with Gary Harris.Just like Sanders does with Demaryius Thomas at wide receiver. For these reasons, Jamal Murray is the Nuggets’ version of Emmanuel Sanders.
