What this means is that a very intriguing first round match up in the post season. The Nuggets are seemingly a likely candidate for the sixth seed in the Western Conference barring a key injury or two. With a big three in Oklahoma now with Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, they will be able to give the Spurs and Rockets a fight for the third spot in the West.

As a result, this would mean the former Nuggets super star would be going up against his former team. Talk about a very interesting playoff match up. Denver will boast a star duo in Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic this season and now the Oklahoma City Thunder will have a trio of stars to compete in the West.

There is no doubt the Western Conference will be the better conference this year and the Thunder and Nuggets will be in the heart of the heated battle to dethrone the Golden State Warriors.

Denver and Oklahoma City will make for a very fun battle to watch in the playoffs if they face each other not just because of the drama factor of Melo facing his old team, but also because of the match ups. Jokic and Millsap will have the upper hand in the low post, but the Thunder will be superior on the perimeter.
