The possible back court of Gary Harris and Jamal Murray could be potentially lethal in the future.

Gary Harris and Jamal Murray are two of the rising stars of the Denver Nuggets’ young core.

More from Nugg Love

Harris has already cemented his place in the starting rotation while making great strides every year and Murray looks as if he will be one of the Nuggets’ best draft picks in their entire history if he keeps on the pace he is currently on in his young career.

With this in mind, we could see the two of form the Nuggets’ future back court. With Jameer Nelson reaching the end of his career and Emmanuel Mudiay still being a question mark, Murray has a legitimate chance to snag the starting point guard position.

If this were to happen, Denver would suddenly possess one of the most intriguing back courts in the entire league. This would pave the way for having not just one of, but perhaps the best back court in the distant future. Just think about it, both players are very offensively gifted, can stretch the floor and are very athletic.

Murray has only a year under his belt which means he will most likely improve on the defensive end of the court with more experience. As a result, this back court will make for some tough opposition to opponents and help the Nuggets on the perimeter. Do not be surprised if they both become eventual All Stars in the Western Conference with the way they both have progressed nicely so far.

While Murray has not won the job yet, he is in prime position to win it and show he can play more than just shooting guard and be a solid floor general.
