He shot 83.3% from three point territory while shooting 5/6. He finished the game with 20 points while shooting 85.7% from the field in general. There were many times throughout the game where he made a shot and did his famous blue arrow shooting motion to celebrate.
This is just one reason he has earned the nickname of the “Blue Arrow.” These numbers are almost unheard of actually in the NBA and if this is something we can expect from Jamal quite a bit in the future, then the future is certainly bright for the Denver franchise.
Murray finished the game with a box plus/minus of +24 which was the second highest plus/minus on the entire team. While he did have four turnovers, he somewhat made up for it with two solid steals. Murray did more than what the box score shows though.
From tip off, he took control at the point guard spot, and controlled the tempo for the Nuggets. After this performance, it would seem as if Jamal has officially locked up the starting point guard position for the new NBA regular season. With Mudiay still having ups and downs, Murray has been very solid in the preseason and he has certainly earned the opportunity to prove he can be a great point guard for the team despite him coming into the league as a shooting guard.
With all of this in mind, if you do not know it now, then you should now know that Jamal Murray is the “Blue Arrow,” and for good reason.

It will be interesting to see what Murray will bring to the table.
