On this countdown, we continue with Juancho Hernangomez’s Denver Broncos equivalent.

Juancho would be the Denver Nuggets’ version of Justin Simmons. Simmons is not exactly a household name for the Denver Broncos, but he has been doing a good job of replacing T.J. Ward who was an integral part of the No Fly Zone secondary.

In the last win over the Oakland Raiders, the Broncos were saved by a game winning interception from none other than, you guessed it, Justin Simmons. Hernangomez in a lot of ways serves a similar role on the Nuggets as Simmons does for the Broncos. Hernangomez is a very solid role player who has shown massive improvement in many facets of his game.

And this is coming off a rookie season where he was very solid in almost every category. Justin Simmons has almost the same narrative and he is the new starting safety of the Denver Broncos. Do not be surprised if Juancho starts a few games this season at the three spot if Chandler has to sit out for a couple of games. Juancho is poised for another big year for the Nuggets and if he capitalizes on it, then the Nuggets will be in very good hands. Both he and Simmons are very young, but that does not seem to matter with these two talents.

They are not ones to shy away from the spot light and can step up when needed. Case and point, the win over the Warriors last season where Hernangomez lit up Golden State from three point land and had almost a 30 point performance.
