While the Nuggets are the better team on paper, they must be wary of this Nets team. Remember, this is the same squad who defeated the Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers earlier. But, they are still beatable as proven when they got blown out by the New York Knicks the other night.
The key for the Nuggets in this game will be finding a way to start knocking down their perimeter jump shots. They were the third best three point shooting team in the league last year for a reason and this is the perfect game to get back to this style of play.
Also, look for Wilson Chandler to get more aggressive and possibly get out of the slump he has been in since the start of the new NBA season.
Another match up to watch for is the front court advantage Denver possesses. Look for the offensive scheme to feature a heavy dose of Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap in this game since Brooklyn’s strength lies in their perimeter players. As a result, I expect Jokic to flirt with a triple double in this game and for Millsap to possibly put up a season high in points.
The team defense needs to improve and this is a great game to start shoring this up. One aspect which has been lacking for this team has been the transition defense. Too many times this season has Denver failed to get back and ended up giving up an easy shot at the rim, which needs to be corrected. Look for this to get better in this game as well.

This game is a classic trap game for the Nuggets, but if they play as a team, they should be fine.
