The Nuggets will look to bounce back against the Toronto Raptors.

The Denver Nuggets are coming back from a road trip which saw them lose by six points to the New York Knicks. Now, they will try to bounce back at home and try to overcome Demar DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors.

Toronto will come into this game with a 4-2 record as the Nuggets are trying to get above the .500 mark in this young season. Denver needs to start off much quicker than they did against New York where they had to try to overcome a 25 point deficit. Look for this team to come out aggressive and run some plays which frees up some players for easy looks at the rim.

Paul Millsap will look to bounce back after having his first relatively silent game as a Denver Nugget where he only scored 8 points against the Knicks.

Another thing to watch is the point guard battle between the young Jamal Murray and the veteran Kyle Lowry. Denver may need to bring some help for Murray at times since Lowry is a very good guard who can penetrate the paint very effectively. Jokic will look to ride his positive momentum after scoring 28 points while making 6 threes against New York. This was overshadowed by Kristaps Porzingis’ 38 point performance the other night.

Denver also has to devise a defensive scheme which will limit Demar DeRozan’s mind range jump shots. They will need to force him to take shots out in three point territory and try to allow no easy baskets for the star Raptor.

Toronto will look to establish a solid position in the East with a win in Denver, so the Nuggets need to come out hungry and try to establish some type of team chemistry if they are going to compete in the Northwest division this year.
