The Nuggets are in a tight spot at half with the Heat.

The Denver Nuggets are locked in a tight game with the Miami Heat at the Pepsi Center at halftime.

More from Nugg Love

The Nuggets need to come out much more aggressive and make some much needed adjustments. Goran Dragic has been torching the Nuggets’ defense as he currently has 18 points and is four for four from three point land and is shooting a much too high field goal percentage of 87.5%. Jamal Murray is having a bit of trouble as Dragic has gotten the best of him so far while Jamal has only recorded three points on 25% shooting.

The bright spots for the Denver Nuggets have been Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap, the star duo. Jokic has 14 points, seven rebounds and is shooting 75% from the field. Malone needs to give him more run time in the second half if the team wants to have any chance of winning this game. Millsap has 13 points on 66.7% shooting and also has is distributing the ball nicely as he currently has four assists.

Denver once again is paying for their poor defense and they must shore this up in the second half and maybe even find a different match up for Goran Dragic before Dragic puts up a 40 point game on the team. They are allowing the Heat to shoot 64.9% from the field and they also have no steals as a whole team.

The Nuggets are once again showing the complacency which has came back to bite them in the past after big wins and Coach Malone needs to come out in the second half with a different game plan which will throw the Miami Heat for a loop.

Next: Richard Jefferson's role

Look for the Nuggets to come out in the second half with a different defensive scheme and more aggressive on offense.
