Every avid NBA fan knows of the capabilities the second Splash Brother possesses, but many still do not quite know of the up and coming Gary Harris. Harris has been efficiently scoring for the Nuggets this year and is living up to the four year contract extension he earned before the regular season began.
Klay will be a tough test for the young shooting guard, but he certainly has the potential to match his production. Thompson is known as a stingy defender and can get hot in a quick second if a team allows him open looks. Harris will have to play him tight the entire time he is on him since Klay will not hesitate to shoot if you allow him any amount of space and most often, he capitalizes on it.
However, the Warriors and Thompson cannot overlook Harris either. Many are taking notice of how he relentlessly he improves year in and year out and how he has quickly became a part of the Nuggets’ young core for the long term future. Harris is Denver’s best perimeter defender and has became one of Denver’s best spot up shooters.
Much like Thompson in a lot of ways if one really thinks of it. This key match up may be the difference in a Nuggets loss or a huge Nuggets win and if Harris comes to play his best, Golden State may be in for a tougher fight than they originally thought they would have on their hands.
