They will have a grand opportunity to get back in the win column with a home game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have been a team who have surprised some people this year and are playing like they are no longer the worst team in the league like they have been in previous years. However, they still have holes which can be exploited.
The last time Denver and Brooklyn matched up, the Nuggets came away with a win thanks to a great performance from their front court. With their advantage in the post over the Nets, Denver took advantage of this and Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic had a one of their best games of the season. Look for Denver to work this match up in the front court again and force Brooklyn’s bigs to step up in order to steal a win on the road.
Jamal Murray going up against the young D’Angelo Russell will also be a key match up. Whoever wins this battle very well may dictate the outcome of the game.
As for the other young point guard Denver possesses, Emmanuel Mudiay needs to continue his comeback tour. He has found new life thriving off the bench this season and looks extremely re-vitalized which is a pleasant surprise for Nuggets fans. The Nets will need to game plan for him considering he is someone you can no longer overlook him.
