They have passed the ball very good and Paul Millsap has done a good job cleaning the glass for Denver. On top of this, Millsap has shown why he was brought to the Mile High in the first place as he has had some nice defensive plays, including a great block on Russell Westbrook when he was on the fast break.
Emmanuel Mudiay has also done a nice job sparking the Denver second unit as he has hit a couple key three pointers to help keep the Nuggets in it before the game has gotten away from them. With Mudiay playing this well, do not be surprised if Malone utilizes him more in the second half in order to propel the Nuggets to a key run to give them the lead in the second half.
Oklahoma City has shown why they are one of the top defensive units in the league as they have forced Denver into many tough situations resulting in turnovers which has led to a number of Thunder fast break points. Denver has to improve the transition defense in the second half, otherwise, Paul George and Russell Westbrook will have a hay day. Carmelo Anthony has the hot hand so far, but Denver has actually done a decent job defending him so far.
As long as the Nuggets limit the the other two stars, they can live with Melo getting his numbers. Look for the Nuggets to come out fast and aggressive in the second half and trying to get out on the fast break.
