3rd Place: The Oklahoma City Thunder

There is actually a lot of potential here. The Nuggets already didn’t like playing the Thunder.

Russell Westbrook has made a career of having big games against Denver. Whether he was blocking Nuggets Mascot Rocky, eliminating Denver from playoffs last season, or shoving Jokic on the ground to begin a preseason game, he has come to Denver ready to play.

Just to add fuel to the fire, this year, OKC signed one of the greatest Nuggets of all time- Carmelo Anthony. In their nationally televised game this season, Melo was nearly booed out of the building. The booing didn’t stop Melo from posting up 28 points and 6 three-pointers in Denver.

Before now the rivalry may have been one sided. The Nuggets may have disliked OKC but there was no reason for OKC to give Denver the time of day. After the Nuggets beat the Thunder on national television on November 9th, it’s officially time for the Thunder to take this team seriously.
