Gary Harris will be matched up with James Harden which will be something to keep an eye on in the Denver vs. Houston game.

The Denver Nuggets starting shooting guard, Gary Harris, has been a very efficient player this year. According to basketball-reference.com, Harris is averaging 14.1 points per game on 51.9% shooting while also averaging an effective field goal percentage of 63.4%.

Not to mention, he is on a current hot streak where he has scored 20 or more points in a game. In this game against the Rockets, he will be going up against MVP candidate, James Harden. Harden is averaging 31.6 points per game on 45% shooting while averaging an effective field goal percentage of 55.6%.

As a result, this match up is shaping up to be a very intriguing shoot out with both players being extremely efficient on the offensive end of the floor. Harris will have the advantage defensively has he has always been a better defender than Harden, but with James’ scoring prowess, it may not make much of a difference in this game.

Gary will now be the Nuggets’ second offensive option with Paul Millsap most likely out for at least three months. As a result, expect the Nuggets to give him plenty of opportunities to score the basketball whether it be cuts to the basket or open three point attempts.

James Harden will of course get his fair share of chances as he is the go to option for Houston and could possibly get in a shoot out with Harris if both players get hot. The Nuggets will need a solid game out of Harris considering the Rockets will be keying in on Nikola Jokic.
