The Nuggets will battle the Pistons.

The Denver Nuggets will battle the Detroit Pistons after a heart breaking loss at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. A game which saw Denver choke in overtime as Victor Oladipo had a career high 47 points.

It seems as if the Nuggets will still have to go without Nikola Jokic, so they will have another tough game on the road. Especially against a team who possesses a talent like Andre Drummond down in the paint.

The Pistons currently possess an identical record of 14-12 and are actually evenly matched with the young Nuggets. Guys like Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley are low key players who can burn teams if they are overlooked.

Bradley has been a terrific lock down defender his entire career and has an improved offensive game. Harris seems to finally have found a home in Detroit where he has been absolutely thriving this year. However, they will most likely utilize Drummond a lot considering Denver is missing their two best players, Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic.

Trey Lyles will look to carry momentum from his career night in Indiana which as overshadowed by the loss in overtime. Lyles has been a nice revelation for the Nuggets despite losing Nikola Jokic to injury. He has made the most of the extra minutes he has gotten so far this season.

Denver will have to be aggressive the entire game this time if they want any hope of winning. They cannot get content with a lead in the fourth quarter like they did last time and were taken advantage of. Denver needs to start learning how to compete without their two stars.

Otherwise, it is hard to say, but they don’t deserve to make the playoffs if they can’t overcome this adversity once in a while.
