After a big win in Portland, the Denver Nuggets will look get a big upset in Golden State.

The Denver Nuggets will continue to journey through one of their hardest parts of the schedule. Their next stop pits them against the defending NBA champions.

While the Warriors are certainly the better team on paper, Denver is one of the few teams who has given Golden State fits in the past few years. Stranger things have happened when it comes to these two squads battling each other.

Denver will find a bit of luck again as Steph Curry will most likely be out with an ankle injury. This will be the second straight game they play where the star point guard was injured. Damian Lillard did not play in the blow out win over the Trail Blazers.

Sadly, Golden State is still better on paper considering they have three other stars. There is no way to shut, or even contain all of them. However, if one player is contained and the rest of the team is hitting their shots on offense at an efficient clip? Then things will get very interesting.

Do not forget, last season Denver actually blew out the Warriors thanks to an explosion from Juancho Hernangomez from three point territory. Juancho just straight up beat them at their own game.

Now, the Nuggets still must avoid getting in a shootout with the Warriors. It is a trap they want the opposition to fall into night in and night out. If the Nuggets utilize Jokic in different areas of the floor, it will make Golden State respect the offensive scheme and allow the creativity and spacing of the offensive to take effect.

It will be difficult on the road, but the Nuggets can at least give the defending champions a dog fight.
