More from Nugg Love

Nikola Jokic has a different style of play compared to Joel Embiid. Yes, Embiid can hit the occasional jump shot. However, his strength lies in bullying his way in the paint and protecting the basket.

Jokic on the other hand, is more of finesse player and relies on his razzle dazzle style of play to be effective along with his crafty passing. He produces more in his efficient scoring and passing compared to Embiid’s defensive style of play.

As a result, this will shape up to be a very intriguing match up between these two young stars. Embiid will look to make a statement in this game as he is still limited to playing certain games to look out for his long term health.

The Nuggets will have to be ready to help Jokic out on the defensive end of the floor when Joel drives the paint since Jokic isn’t the quickest on his feet despite being an improved defender this year.

The help defense will be crucial, otherwise, the Nuggets will be in for a long night and potentially drop their second straight game if they let Embiid get hot. Jokic will be a key component in this game and if he can at least contain the young Embiid, then things will open up much easier for him whether it be open jump shots or opportunities to facilitate the offense.

Denver cannot overlook this young 76er team and the same goes for Jokic vs. Embiid.
