The Denver Nuggets were not able to win on a tail end of a back to back.
The Denver Nuggets lost in the city of Sacramento, failing to capitalize on an opportunity to move up in the Western Conference standings. Despite a solid win over the Utah Jazz the night before, they were out played since the starting tip off against the Sacramento Kings.The Nuggets lost by a final score of 106-98.

The Denver star player, Nikola Jokic, struggled for the second straight game as he only scored eight points on 30% shooting. Jokic has to get going in order for this team to put together a solid win streak, considering Paul Millsap is still out with injury.
Trey Lyles was the high point man for Denver as he scored 19 points. He also shot 72.7% from the field along with nine rebounds. At the very least, the Nuggets were able to keep the game close all night, but in the end, the Kings came out hungrier for the win.
The Kings had the advantage of having a few days off whereas the Nuggets had a game the night before. This is no excuse for losing to a team one should have defeated, but it certainly was a factor.
Willey Cauley-Stein and D’Aaron Fox ate up the Denver defense all night and they were simply too much for the Nuggets in the end. Denver’s road losses continue to pile up while the Kings got a great confidence boost by defeating a perennial playoff team on their home floor.
The Nuggets were simply out matched since the beginning of the game and it showed through out the entire game.
