The Denver Nuggets failed to show up against the Sacramento Kings.

The Denver Nuggets lost a very disappointing game against the Sacramento Kings. Despite coming in with a two game win streak, the Nuggets were unable to overcome the young and budding Kings.

Even though the final score was close, 106-98, Sacramento had the advantage from the opening tip.

Denver committed way too many turnovers in this match up which is very concerning to see from a potential playoff team.

Nikola Jokic struggled for the second straight game as he once again failed to get into double figures, but also committed five turnovers which was extremely costly. Jamal Murray also committed five turnovers which is something the starting point guard cannot be doing, otherwise, teams in this league will eat you alive. Denver as a team, had a total of 25 turnovers compared to the Kings’ nine turnovers. Denver has to make sure this does not become a habit for them, if not, they will be on the outside looking in like they were last season when it comes to the post season.

The Nuggets were also less than stellar from the charity stripe. They came away with a free throw percentage of only 71.4%. Sacramento also struggled, but still shot better from the free throw line with a percentage of 76.5%.

The Nuggets looked as if they were gassed the entire night which is somewhat understandable considering they were on the tail end of a back to back. The Kings on the other hand, had the last few days to rest. This is still not an excuse for the Nuggets losing to a team they should have defeated, which is still a bad habit they apparently have not broke yet.

The Kings played a terrific game and they should be proud of defeating a potential playoff team in the Western Conference.
