On 80s nights of all nights, we needed that.
I don’t know why or how we saw a Jefferson led Nuggets, three minutes past tip off, but that is what we got tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Few thoughts from the game:
-How about Trey Lyles? Just how bout him. Tell me he isn’t the biggest story of the year so far.
-Love seeing T.J. Ward and Peyton at the game. I really hope the Nuggets marketing team are pressing them with free tickets. Such an easy, sneaky trick to get the weekend Denver crowd into it…credit goes to another sold out Pepsi Center and the bartenders at Tuaca Bar for the crowd bringing the ruckus in the second half. (I am being told they call it something else now)
-If you watched the Altitude coverage or saw on the screen in the stadium, you saw it was 80s theme night. Scott Hastings wore a leather jacket, white tee and sun glasses. Thing is, I don’t thing he knew it was a theme night.
-Is Jokic back? I akin him right now to a puttering engine that you are just cranking your key hard enough to catch so you can start your car.
-Nuggets rebounding and free throws was the difference maker down the stretch. That..and Hastings leather jacket.
-Do I need to buy a Malik Beasley jersey? Kid plays with so much heart. Between him and Murray, I am ready to run through a wall for this team.
Hopefully tonight was enough of a warm up to be ready to play Pop’s Spurs tomorrow in San Antonio.
