He is only the second player this season to have a game where posted more than 35 points to go along with five assists and five plus rebounds. The other player is the Warriors super star, Steph Curry. Not bad company to be in for the young guard.
The Knicks boast Tim Hardaway Jr., who has had a few great games this season. While he is not a household name, he certainly is capable of getting hot and scoring in bunches. If Denver overlooks him and does not respect him enough on the perimeter, Hardaway is capable of having a career night on the Nuggets’ home floor.
It is possible to see a shoot out between these two young guards. If both players get hot, then watch out. It will make for some entertaining offensive basketball to say the least.
The Nuggets have to be ready to commit some defensive pressure to Hardaway if he gets rolling in order to stop the Knicks momentum. If New York is smart, they will realize how fast Murray can heat up, ask the Trail Blazers from the other night. They will have to be ready to change up their defensive scheme as well if he picks up where he left off against the Trail Blazers.
These two guards may not be well known, although Murray is well on his way, but this is one match up which could interest any NBA fan.
