The Nuggets cannot afford to overlook the Knicks.
While the Nuggets may look like the better team on paper, they cannot overlook this New York Knicks squad. Do not forget, this Knicks team actually beat the Nuggets earlier this season, when Denver was at full strength.

Now, Denver is fighting for their post season lives and this is another must win. This is the first key for them. They have to treat every game as a must win now, even teams they should defeat. If they do, then it will spell trouble for this Nuggets squad.
The second key is to limit the production of Kristaps Porzingis. Yes, it is easier said than done, but the Nuggets have the potential to slow him down. The Nuggets may be an inconsistent defensive unit, but they are still a lot better than last season at that end of the floor. If the Nuggets have a night where they start clicking both offensively and defensively, then Denver will be an extremely tough match up for the Knicks.
The third and final key for the Nuggets and to come out and be aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. There was a report earlier this week talking about how Coach Malone reverted the offense back to what they practiced last season in practice. If they do this in the game, then watch out. That same offense was one of the highest scoring offenses in the league and was also third in three point production behind Houston and Golden State.
It is up to Denver to come out firing on all cylinders and make the Knicks for everything on the defensive end in order to get out to an early advantage.
If this happens, then the Denver Nuggets will be in extremely good shape.
