The Nuggets will take on the Knicks in the Pepsi Center.

The Denver Nuggets are once again in a tight race for the final playoff spot in the West like they were last season. With the Clippers faltering the other night, Denver finds themselves in the eighth spot once again.

The Nuggets have to treat every game from here on out as a must win and this game against the Knicks will be no different. The Nuggets are coming off a win the other night where they got a must win over the Trail Blazers where they won 104-101 thanks to a career night from Jamal Murray.

The Knicks have been trying to claw their way back into the Eastern Conference picture while they sit at the 10th seed in the East. After a hot start to the season where they actually defeated Denver the first these teams faced off, they find themselves in the depth of mediocrity once again.

With the first time All Star, Kristaps Porzingis leading the way for the Knicks, the Nuggets are going to have a rough time locking down the paint. Nikola Jokic will most likely be playing the center position and Paul Millsap is still out.

The Nuggets will have their hands full. Gary Harris is questionable for this game, so if he is out, Denver will miss his perimeter defense. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina are underrated guards and could give the Nuggets fits if they are not careful. Jamal Murray is coming off a career night, so he may be in for a bit of a “hangover,” or could remain extremely hot.

Denver is in for another “trap,” game and losing this game would certainly be typical of the Nuggets with the bad habit they have developed this year. Let’s hope they do not overlook the Knicks in this game.
