Dallas was short handed for this  match up and was toying with a different starting lineup while Denver was at full strength minus Paul Millsap of course. Jamal Murray came off the bench after violating a team rule according to reports.

Nikola Jokic came up huge as he came away with his second triple double of the season. Jokic posted 11 points, 16 rebounds and an impressive 11 assists. He only shot 38.5% from the field, but was an overall positive for the team through out the night.

Gary Harris was the high man as he came away with 24 points on 50% from the field. He also tallied two steals along with four assists. Mason Plumlee did not make much of a dent on paper, but came up clutch when the team needed it the most. Plumlee got the game sealing block in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter when the game was on the line.

Denver was able to limit the production of Dennis Smith Jr. in this game. He came away with 13 points, but only shot a poor 27.8% from the field.

The Nuggets also won the battle on the glass by a healthy margin. They had 10 more rebounds than the Mavericks as a team and it helped seal the win in the end.

Denver still has their work cut out for them as this struggling and depleted Dallas squad almost defeated them at home.

However, the Nuggets are at least above .500 and back in the win column for the third straight game.
