While the Nuggets lost, they put up a terrific fight in Boston thanks to great performances from their back court players. Jamal Murray had a great 28 point performance and was able to keep up with Kyrie Irving. Gary Harris had a career night as he finished with 36 points in that particular game.
This time will have a different atmosphere as it will be in the Mile High City. The Denver Nuggets are struggling to keep above water as they are in a tight race for the final playoff spot in the West. The Celtics, on the other hand, have formed a good cushion in the Eastern Conference standings as they continue to win consistently with the Cavaliers struggling.
The Nuggets will have a tough match up as they start a four game stretch where they can easily lose four in a row. If the Nuggets can steal this game against the Celtics, it will be a huge confidence boost. Not to mention, it will give them momentum going into the upcoming games as they battle with the Pelicans and Clippers for post season positioning in the Western Conference playoff picture.
The Celtics will come out with something to prove as they are coming off a close loss to the defending champion, Golden State Warriors. However, the one thing Denver has going for them is they are currently on a three game winning streak. The wins have not been pretty, but they are still wins.
