The Nuggets need to play better away from home.

Denver took a HUGE win into the All-Star Break after a monster performance by Nikola Jokic. I actually wrote a piece before this game where I said they needed to get over the road struggles to beat the Bucks. Jokic got the memo, pouring in a triple double before the half.

More from Nugg Love

It was the fastest triple-double of all time, clocking in just 14 minutes and 33 seconds of game time. The previous record was held by Jim Tucker, and it took him 17 minutes!

However, I digress. It was a great performance all-around from the team, but the fact remains, the Nuggets are still nine-19 on the road. It is the home record that has kept them in the hunt, and while that isn’t inherently a bad thing, the road performance has got to be better to have a chance in the playoffs. Just for a reference, the Portland Trail-Blazers, the team that the Nuggets are tied for sixth with, are 15-15 away. They seem to be able to be decent on the road while putting in a good home record as well.

If they want to keep the sixth or maybe even move up to the fifth seed, they better get a move on.
