After a collegiate career that saw him win first team All-American honors for 3 consecutive years, Big East player of the Year twice, he was NCAA Champion in 1985 and NCAA Tournament MVP the same year.
Drafted first overall by the Knicks in 1986, Ewing won Rookie of the Year. He appeared in 11 All-Star games and was named to the NBA all-defensive second team 6 times. His 2.45 Blocks per game rank him 11th all-time.
At 7′, 255 pounds, Ewing was a monster in the paint and flourished in the physical era of the late-80’s, early-90’s.
