The Nuggets will be back in action against the Spurs soon and will also be celebrating 2000’s night.

The Denver Nuggets have been celebrating their 50 years of their history all season long. They have already celebrated key members of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

In their upcoming match up with the San Antonio Spurs, Denver will celebrate the era of the 2000’s with a few key members of those teams in attendance. One of which will include the great Allen Iverson. Iverson may have only spent a few seasons with the Denver Nuggets organization, but he was still an integral part of the 2000’s for the team.

Other key players which might make one sentimental include the likes of Marcus Camby, Kenyon Martin and yes, whether you like it or not, Carmelo Anthony (who will not be in attendance as he is still currently playing in the league.)

It will be great to celebrate this era as it provided Denver fans with many memories. There were both good and bad moments, but as a fan personally, I would not trade it for anything in the world despite all of the heart breaking moments which occurred many times throughout the decade.

There were many memorable moments. Not to mention, there was Carmelo setting the record for most points scored in a single quarter. There was the budding rivalry with the Kobe Bryant led Lakers who Denver faced many times in the NBA playoffs, particularly the Western Conference Finals. And, of course, there was the infamous trade which netted Denver Allen Iverson which formed a dynamic duo with him and Carmelo Anthony.

While Denver may still be searching for a single NBA championship, one cannot discount what they did accomplish in the 2000’s.

It will be a great night and it will be nice to see some of the favorites back in the building.
