Improve on the Road Quickly

As hot as Denver has been at home they been equally as frigid on the road. A 9-19 record on the road is an anomaly in the Western Conference playoff race.

More from Nugg Love

Denver is the only current playoff team in the Western Conference with less than 12 road wins. Only the Lakers, Grizzlies, Mavericks and Suns have worse road records in the west than Denver.

With 13 remaining road games Denver has to find a way to go at least 6 and 7 if they are a true playoff team. In order to make the playoffs Denver has to show up and win road games against, Memphis, Dallas, LA Lakers, Miami and Chicago. All these teams excluding Miami (14-12) are all .500 or below teams at home. Denver has to take advantage of these games in particular down the stretch.

Between March 17th and March 30th the Nuggets will be on a 7 game road trip. This trip will define the Nuggets season. They have to beat the mediocre home teams and split with the elite teams during this stretch, or they’ll be playing for 2019 by April.
