Denver has been terrible on the road this season and after losing consecutive home games for the first time this year, things are getting tense. In the last stretch of the long and strenuous regular season, the Nuggets will be on the road rather than in the safe haven of the Pepsi Center more often than not until the playoffs start.
Denver has key away games against the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers in the last half of the regular season. Not to mention, there is a seven game road trip coming up for this young core which will be the ultimate test to see if this squad is actually post season ready for the intense Western Conference.
Other teams Denver will also have to play on the road include the high powered Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Denver will play in Minnesota in the last game of the regular season which may dictate whether the Nuggets get into the playoffs or not.
The good news is Minnesota will be without Jimmy Butler which should lighten the load a bit. If there is any faith, it is from the month of February where Denver came out with a winning record despite what was expected they would come out with despite the treacherous schedule.
