Despite being young, I have had my shares of ups and downs with the Nuggets just like our own Michael Longhofer.
I remember watching my first Nuggets game.
Denver Nuggets
I remember idolizing Carmelo Anthony as a first time NBA fan.
And I remember how heart breaking it was for him to go home to New York.
I also remember the infamous Allen Iverson trade.
Along with the trade which landed us Chauncey Billups.
I also remember the magical 2009 season where the Nuggets made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. Moments such as Billups schooling Chris Paul in the first round and Melo’s game winning three against the Mavericks in the second round are still sentimental memories for me.
I remember going to my first Nuggets game.
I remember the night-marish Anthony Carter inbound pass which got stolen against the Los Angeles Lakers. To this day, I still believe we would have defeated the Magic in the Finals if Kobe and Pau did not get in the way that year in the post season.
I remember being ecstatic about the team finding success after dealing Melo and Billups. I remember the 50 plus win season where we had no true star.
I was also a fan who thought Ty Lawson would be the next All Star point guard.
I was a fan through the sickening Brian Shaw era.
I remember thinking we would never get back to relevance again.
I was glad to be proven wrong about the Gary Harris for Doug McDermott trade.
I remember being in awe of the steal we got in our current star, Nikola Jokic.

And last of all, I remember this summer thinking there is light at the end of the tunnel when we landed our first star free agent in many seasons, Paul Millsap. I am young, but I am as die hard as they come and can still tell you many historical moments.
