LeBron is on pace for another triple double of his own in this game and the Nuggets have failed to make any type of defensive adjustment to slow down the well oiled machine which is the Cavaliers offense. Nikola Jokic had a scare in the first half when he knocked knees with one of the Cavs and went down to the floor for a minute.
All of Nuggets Nation was holding their breath, but thankfully, he came back in the second half and actually looked a lot more aggressive than he has in the past few games. However, it has been the play of Gary Harris which has kept the Nuggets somewhat in this match up as he is hitting shots when the team needs them the most. Not to mention, he had a nice steal from LeBron James in the first quarter of play where he was patient and waited LeBron to pivot and expertly stole the ball.
Paul Millsap only has two three pointers so far, but he has been the one bright spot for the Nuggets’ defense so far. The bench for Cleveland has been killing Denver so far and Coach Malone needs to find a way to correct his rotations in order to stop the bleeding. Every time the Nuggets get within striking distance, the Cavaliers go on a run and pull away spurred from a huge and one play or a momentum changer on the defensive side of the floor disrupting Denver’s offense.
Denver has a lot of adjustments to make in order to stop this high powered Cleveland squad in the second half.
