The Denver Nuggets will continue the home stretch of the regular season by welcoming the Sacramento Kings into the Mile High for a key home game.

The Denver Nuggets were able to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers the other night in a controversial win which saw Lakers head coach, Luke Walton, screaming at Jamal Murray for being “disrespectful.”

Regardless, the Nuggets are in for yet another must win game as they take on the young Sacramento Kings in the Pepsi Center. However, Denver is not immune to the classic trap game which we have seen too many times this year. As a matter of fact, the last time the Kings and Nuggets squared off, Sacramento was able to pull off the upset which set Denver back a couple of notches in the playoff chase in the Western Conference.

Vince Carter may as well be dubbed the Nuggets killer as he has torched Denver many times this season when the Nuggets have taken on the Kings. Carter may be the oldest player in the league, however, he is a future hall of famer for a reason and overlooking the high flying dunking sensation is a mistake the team cannot afford to make. Carter has been a vital instrument for the Kings this season and Denver must be wary of the savvy veteran.

Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap will be the X factors as the Nuggets’ stars continue to find the rhythm they need in order to find the right type of defensive and offensive success for this Denver squad. If they can repeat the same outcome from the Lakers win, then their chances of winning will be extremely likely.

It will not be easy, but Denver is in desperation mode and chasing a playoff birth right now, something the Kings must be wary of themselves in this game.
